MHC

Why did you choose MHC?

All About Alums
“What made you come to MHC?” That was the burning question in the last issue of the Laurel Chain. These alums wrote in to tell us:

“I grew up on the prairies, and my family assumed I would attend the University of Oklahoma (my parents’ alma mater) or the University of Kansas. I wasn’t particularly happy with that prospect… “ More…

99-cent weddings? Read all about it—and then tell us how you got hitched on the cheap. The best alumnae stories will be published in “Penny for your Thoughts”—a new All About Alums series focusing on the ingenious ways MHCers are surviving and thriving during the recession. Send your tales to Leanna James Blackwell.

Twitter Tells All

Alumnae Quarterly: Were you the first in your family to attend college?
For a feature article, the Alumnae Quarterly magazine is looking for alumnae—especially younger alumnae—who were the first in their family to attend college.

If that’s you, and you’d be willing to discuss your experience for publication, please send an e-mail with the subject heading “first to attend college” to Quarterly editor Emily Weir. Please include your full name, class year, and a summary of how you came to be a family pioneer by attending college. Thanks!
