All About Alums: Call for entries
Introducing a new Laurel Chain column, “All about Alums,” created to highlight the lives, stories, wit and accumulated wisdom of our 33,000 alums around the world. The column debuts this month with a call for entries: “In Brief … Sum up Your MHC Experience in Six Words.”
Inspired by the new book Not Quite What I was Planning: Six Word Memoirs from Writers Famous and Obscure, the Laurel Chain and the Alumnae Quarterly invite you to sum up your entire MHC experience in exactly six words. For example:
Arrived a stranger. Left with friends.
Studied hard. Played harder. Barely graduated.
Uncommon women. Common ground. Unforgettable opportunity.
Mind closed. Mind opened. World changing.
First year: shy. Senior year: savvy.
