Alumnae Stay Program
The Alumnae Stay program helps students and alumnae traveling on academic or employment-related business, such as internships or job interviews, find free housing with alumnae in locations throughout the country and abroad. Stays can range from one week to up to two months. Alumnae who open their homes, and their student/alumnae guests, find Alumnae Stay a wonderful way to meet and stay connected with members of the College community.
If you are an MHC student or alumna traveling for the purpose of academic and/or employment-related business like internships, job interviews, graduate school search, or mentoring, and would like to explore the possibility of short-term housing with an alumna, you have come to the right place.
Through LifeNet, you can find alumnae across the country and around the world
who offer free overnight housing to students and alumnae traveling on academic
or job-related business.
By providing this service, our goal is to assist a student or alumna in her
pursuit of academic, professional, and personal growth by alleviating the
burden of finding a safe place to live when she travels to an unfamiliar
place.
In order to participate, you must fulfill the following requirements:
- You must be an MHC student or alumna.
- You must be traveling for the purpose of academic and/or employment-related business like internships, job interviews, graduate school search, or mentoring.
- You must carry health insurance that provides medical coverage at the place you visit.
- You must request housing at least two weeks prior to the date of your visit.
If you fulfill the above requirements and are interested in participating, please click on the LifeNet link at the bottom of this page to get to our password protected site. Once there, you will be able to search for alumnae who are offering housing via the Alumnae Stay program.
Important note: You will lose your LifeNet privileges if:
- You request housing from an alumna who is not participating in the Alumnae Stay Program.
- You request housing from an alumna who is participating in the Alumnae Stay Program, but you do not meet the program’s requirements outlined above.
