Eva Paus, professor of Economics and director of Center for Global Initiatives, has completed a new book - Foreign Investment, Development and Globalization: Can Costa Rica become Ireland? – on the issue of global economic development and global outsourcing. The central question Paus investigated is whether Costa Rica, and countries like it, can use foreign investment as an advancement tool, as Ireland did in the 1990s.
