Alumnae in Action
Fall Food Action Project
The Alumnae Association is pleased to announce the fall 2007 Alumnae in Action project, a national food drive and volunteer effort on behalf of organizations working to fight hunger in their communities. We encourage MHC classes and clubs to gather together for their own food action projects—organizing a food drive, donating funds to a food bank, or serving meals at a shelter. The Alumnae Association will support your event with resources and promotion. Click here to find a food bank in your community.
Here on campus, the Alumnae Association, local clubs and classes, and MHC students are planning to gather on Saturday, October 20, from 9 am to 12 noon, at the Food Bank Farm in Hadley (121 Bay Road, Route 47, just south of Route 9).
We’ll help prepare garlic for planting, harvest roots, and assist with other farm chores. Delicious refreshments will be provided for our volunteers—and you’ll also receive an Alumnae in Action custom water bottle and bandanna as a gift.

Can’t make it to Hadley? Find out about donating a holiday turkey to a local family or helping in other ways by going to the Food Bank Web site. Thanks for your help!
