Alumnae Associaton of Mount Holyoke College
Message Themes 2005

1) The Association provides alumnae ways to deepen and expand their Mount Holyoke experience.

  1. The Association offers programs and services that foster lifelong learning, recognition, and general well-being.
  2. The Association offers alumnae and current students easy and effective ways to connect with a powerful network of fellow alumnae. This network helps enhance both the education and the post-baccalaureate decisions of current MHC students.
  3. The Association includes and engages current students, building productive relationships with them during their undergraduate years that continue and deepen after graduation.
  4. The Association has relevant and valuable relationships with alumnae throughout their adult lives.
2) The Association supports the College and its mission directly and indirectly.
  1. The Association engages as a strong partner with the College to help ensure meaningful interdependence between the two organizations.
  2. The Association supports alumnae in their purposeful engagement with the world.
  3. The Association helps keep alumnae informed of College news and of on- and off-campus events.
  4. The Association provides a wide variety of opportunities through which alumnae can stay involved in the life of the College and otherwise give back to their alma mater.
3) The Association is an inclusive and welcoming organization.
  1. The Association recognizes and celebrates that the alumnae constituency comprises diverse audience groups, defined by shared attributes such as age, geography, cultural heritage, and life-stage needs, among others. The constituency is international and spans all global time zones.
  2. The Association patterns its offerings and communications according to the diverse interests and needs of its constituency.
  3. The Association serves as an effective conduit for the myriad alumnae “voices,” providing a clear and open channel of communication among alumnae and to the College.
