Free Newsletter Guidelines

Funds permitting, the Alumnae Association will pay for each club/informal group to copy and mail one newsletter or postcard per year. All copying, folding, tabbing and mailing expenses will be covered (it will be assumed that newsletters will be copied onto colored paper and mailed bulk rate). The following guidelines apply:

Number of Pages

Newsletters must be no longer than four pages. If length exceeds four pages, the club will be billed for the expense of copying the additional pages.

Photocopying/Printing

Newsletters will be photocopied with black ink on standard 20# paper (there are several paper colors available). If a newsletter is printed instead of copied or uses special paper, the club will be billed for the cost difference (printing vs. photocopying or special vs. special paper).

Postage

For clubs with more than 200 members, the Alumnae Association will only pay for bulk rate postage. If a club would like the mailing to go first class, it will be billed for the difference in postage (usually about 50%). For clubs with fewer than 200 members, first class postage will be covered.
