Club & Class Web Options

The Alumnae Association is pleased to announce that are now offering new and vastly improved Web site options for all classes, clubs, and affiliate groups. Classes and clubs have a choice of three options:

For more information about these options, please visit our Alumnae Web Technical Support Wiki. This site offers extensive technical support for our new templates, and will continue to grow with your valuable feedback. Please watch your e-mail for information.

Recommended information for your Web site:

If you are planning on setting up a Web site, whether through Alumnae Association templates, or on your own, please be sure that you have a volunteer that is committed to maintaining the Web site. The class, club, or group is responsible for maintaining the site and keeping it current. Pages that are not kept current are not valuable.

If you already have your own Web site, the Alumnae Association can and should link to it from its Web site. Please send the URL to Ed Gray .

Club Newsletters Online

If you would like your newsletter posted on the Alumnae Association Web site, you must be sure the newsletter is Web-ready. This means:

Newsletters must be sent in electronic form, either in a Word format or PDF. Send the newsletter if it is Web-ready to Krysia L. Villón ’96, assistant director of clubs.

Posting Events to the Alumnae Association Web site

Posting your group event on the Alumnae Association’s calendar is a great way to reach more group members. To submit your event, send the event information to Luisa Tavares . You must include the following information: date and time of event; club, class, or group name; event location; description of event; contact information. Please be sure to include whether or not we can post your e-mail address online as a contact for more information.

Broadcast E-mail

The Alumnae Association can send broadcast e-mails from your class, club, or group to your members. You may submit your request via our Broadcast E-mail Request form. Please send requests at least one week in advance of when you would like us to send the broadcast e-mail. Be sure to include the following:

The return e-mail address used must be a class, club, or affiliate group officer’s. “Undeliverable” e-mails will automatically bounce back to the sender’s address. The Alumnae Association does not delete e-mail addresses from our database unless we receive a new one to replace it, therefore there is no need to forward returned e-mails to us. However, if you receive any new contact information in response to your group e-mail, please forward to Alumnae Information Services.
