Employer Identification Number

Every Mount Holyoke College alumnae organization, including classes, clubs and informal groups, is required to file for its own Employer Identification Number (EIN) in order to be included on our group affiliate listing. Without this number your group cannot be listed with the IRS as an Association affiliate, and therefore is not entitled to our tax-exempt status.

Most Alumnae Association classes and clubs already have an EIN.  If you are unsure whether you have an EIN, know you need one and would like step-by-step instructions for filing online, or need a copy of your EIN, contact Stephanie Gray Gonthier, Director of Finance, at (413) 538-2736 or by e-mail at sgonthie@mtholyoke.edu.
